Notifications Not Working

## Missing or Delayed Notifications If you're not receiving notifications on FANZA, or they're arriving late, here's how to diagnose and fix the issue. **Check your notification settings first.** Go to **Dashboard → Settings → Notifications** and make sure the types of notifications you expect are toggled on. If you accidentally turned off "Direct messages" notifications, for example, you won't get alerts for new messages. **Browser notifications:** If you're using FANZA in a browser and want desktop notifications: - Make sure you've granted notification permission to FANZA in your browser settings - Check that your browser's "Do Not Disturb" mode isn't active - Some browsers block notifications by default — look for a bell or lock icon in the address bar to manage permissions **PWA notifications:** If you've installed FANZA as a home screen app: - On iOS, PWA notifications have limited support depending on your iOS version - On Android, make sure FANZA has notification permission in your phone's Settings → Apps → FANZA → Notifications - Check that battery optimization isn't preventing the app from running in the background **In-app notifications still visible:** Even if push notifications aren't working, you should still see notifications when you open FANZA and check the Notifications page. If notifications aren't showing up there either, the issue might be that no notification-worthy events have actually occurred — double-check by having a friend interact with your profile. **Email notifications:** Some important notifications are also sent via email. Make sure FANZA emails aren't being caught by your spam filter. Add our sending address to your contacts to help prevent this. If notifications are working for some events but not others, it's likely a settings issue. If nothing is coming through at all despite correct settings, contact support.
