Payment Processing Errors

## When Payments Won't Go Through Payment errors can be confusing because the problem often isn't on FANZA's end — it's usually between your bank and our payment processor. Here's how to figure out what's going on and fix it. **"Card declined" error:** This means your bank or card issuer rejected the transaction. Common reasons: - Insufficient funds or credit limit reached - Your bank flagged it as suspicious activity (common for first-time transactions with a new merchant) - Your card doesn't allow international transactions (FANZA processes payments through Stripe, which may appear as an international charge depending on your location) - The card is expired What to do: Call your bank's customer service number (usually on the back of your card) and ask them to authorize the transaction. Let them know it's a legitimate purchase. Then try again. **3D Secure / verification failure:** Some banks require additional verification through their app or via SMS when you make online purchases. If this verification step fails or times out, the payment won't go through. Make sure: - Your bank has your current phone number on file - You complete the verification prompt within the time limit - Your banking app is updated and functioning properly **Crypto payment issues:** - Double-check that you're sending the correct cryptocurrency to the correct address on the correct network - Ensure you're sending enough to cover both the payment amount and network fees - Blockchain transactions require a certain number of confirmations before they're processed — this can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour **"Something went wrong" generic error:** If you see a vague error message, try: - Refreshing the page and attempting the payment again - Using a different payment method - Clearing your browser cache - Trying from a different browser or device If you keep hitting errors, reach out to support with the exact error message you're seeing, the payment method you're using, and the approximate time you attempted the payment. This helps us look up the failed transaction in our logs.
