Privacy Settings Overview

## Your Privacy Controls FANZA gives you meaningful control over your privacy. Here's what you can adjust and where to find it. Go to **Dashboard → Settings** and look for the **Privacy** section. The main options are: **Private Profile** — When enabled, only people who follow you or subscribe to you can see your profile page. Everyone else sees a basic profile card with your name and avatar but can't view your posts, bio details, or media. This is useful if you want to limit discoverability, but keep in mind that fewer people will find you organically since they can't preview your content before following. **Activity Status** — This controls whether other users can see when you're currently online. When it's on, a green dot appears next to your name indicating you're active. Turn it off if you prefer to browse without people knowing you're around. Some creators keep it on because it encourages subscribers to send messages; others turn it off to reduce the pressure of being "always available." **Message Permissions** — By default, only your active subscribers can send you direct messages. This keeps your inbox manageable and relevant. If you want to allow anyone on FANZA to message you (whether they subscribe or not), you can toggle this setting. Creators sometimes open this up to allow potential subscribers to reach out, but it can also lead to a flood of messages from non-paying users. **What's always private:** Regardless of your settings, your email address and real name are never displayed publicly on FANZA. Other users only see your display name, username, and whatever you choose to share in your bio and posts.
