# Sending Messages FANZA's messaging system lets you communicate directly with creators and other users. Here's how to make the most of direct messages. ## Starting a Conversation To send a message to a creator: 1. Visit their profile page 2. Click the **Message** button 3. Type your message and hit send You can also start conversations from the **Messages** section in your dashboard sidebar. ## Message Types FANZA supports several types of messages: - **Text messages** — Standard text conversations - **Media messages** — Send photos and videos along with your messages - **Pay-per-view (PPV) messages** — Creators can send exclusive content that requires a one-time payment to unlock - **Tips** — You can send tips directly through the messaging interface ## Message Permissions Creators can control who can message them: - **Subscribers only** — Only active subscribers can initiate conversations (this is the default) - **Everyone** — Anyone can send messages, including non-subscribers If you can't send a message to a creator, it likely means they've restricted messaging to subscribers only. Subscribe to their profile to unlock messaging. ## Read Receipts Messages show a read indicator when the recipient has viewed them. This helps you know when your message has been seen. ## Tips for Great Conversations - Be polite and respectful in all interactions - Don't send unsolicited or inappropriate content - Remember that creators may receive many messages and might not respond immediately - Avoid sharing personal contact information for your safety
