Editing Your Display Name and Bio
## Updating Your Display Name and Bio Your display name and bio are the first things people see when they visit your profile, so it's worth getting them right. To make changes, head to **Dashboard → Profile** and click **Edit Profile**. You'll see fields for your display name and bio, along with options to update your profile photo and cover image. **Display Name** — This can be up to 50 characters and appears everywhere your profile is shown: next to your posts, in comments, in messages, and on your profile page. You can use your real name, a nickname, a brand name, or anything else. Change it as often as you want — updates take effect immediately across the platform. **Bio** — This is your space to tell visitors who you are and what you're about. It supports emoji and line breaks, so you can format it to be readable. For creators, the bio is basically your pitch — it's what convinces someone browsing your profile to hit that subscribe button. A few things that tend to work well: - Be specific about what kind of content you post - Mention your posting frequency if it's consistent (e.g., "new content every day") - Keep it genuine — overly promotional bios tend to turn people off - Include a call to action if you want (e.g., "Subscribe to see what I don't post anywhere else") For subscribers, a bio is totally optional. Some people add a short line about themselves, others leave it blank — it's up to you. One important note: please don't impersonate other creators or public figures in your display name or bio. Accounts that do this are subject to suspension.
