Upload Failures

## When File Uploads Don't Work If you're trying to upload images or videos and the upload fails, gets stuck, or produces an error, try these troubleshooting steps. **Check the file format.** FANZA supports JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP for images, and MP4, MOV, and WebM for videos. If your file is in a different format (like HEIC from iPhone photos, or AVI for videos), you'll need to convert it first. Most phones have settings to save photos as JPEG instead of HEIC. **Check the file size.** Images have a 20MB limit per file. If your image exceeds this, try reducing the resolution or compressing it. For high-resolution photos, JPEG format typically produces smaller files than PNG without noticeable quality loss. **Internet connection.** Large file uploads need a stable connection. If your connection drops mid-upload, the upload will fail. Try these things: - Switch to WiFi if you're on mobile data (or vice versa) - Move closer to your WiFi router - Avoid uploading on public WiFi networks, which tend to be slow and unreliable - Close other applications that might be using bandwidth **Browser issues:** - Try a different browser — sometimes one browser handles uploads better than another - Clear your browser cache - Make sure your browser is updated to the latest version - Disable any browser extensions that might interfere with file uploads **For large videos:** - Videos take longer to upload and then need processing time afterward - Don't close the tab or navigate away during upload — keep the page open until you see confirmation - If a large video keeps failing, try compressing it or reducing the resolution before uploading - A wired internet connection is more reliable than WiFi for large uploads **If uploads consistently fail** regardless of file type, size, or connection, there might be a platform issue.
